Upgrading The BMW N54 With A CSF 7046 Radiator

The E90 335i, E82 135i, and E89 Z4 sDrive35i are incredibly capable platforms. Their interchangeability of suspension components and highly-developed chassis make them potent competitors in motorsport. With so much high-performance potential, you must keep the engine safe as each drive gets more aggressive. Upgrading the OE N54 radiator to the CSF 7046 is an easy way to prevent the damage caused by overheating, like warped cylinder heads and seized bearings.

The all-aluminum construction eliminates the plastic tanks for better cooling efficiency, although the revised core put in most of the work. The 2-row, triple-pass core is thicker than the OE and forces the coolant to stay in the radiator for longer, allowing the B-shaped tubes and ultra-efficient fins to pull the heat out of any N54's cooling system. The B-shaped tubes are the real magic; made from a thinner and more efficient material, the funky shape design improves heat transfer by 15% over the standard tube. Put that performance together with its drop-in fit that doesn’t require any modification, and you get the easiest reliability modification you can make.
