This wheel stud kit replaces your factory equipped lug bolts. Lug bolts are generally fine but they are not acceptable for track use and they also make changing wheels a real pain as well. This conversion kit includes Grade 10.9 wheel studs in an OEM black zinc finish.
Installation information:These studs have a hex drive on the end. IT can be used for installing the stud into the wheel hub but cannot be used for torquing the stud to the hub. Before installing the stud make sure the threads on the wheel hub are clean from debris, rust, or oils. You can use a thread chaser to clean the threads along with brake parts cleaner. Apply a few drops of the included thread locker to the short end of the stud and then thread into the wheel hub. For torquing the stud to the hub we recommend using the double nut method (ideally a flange nut) by jamming the two nuts together snug. Then torque the studs to 25 ft/lbs.
