Upper radiator hose, carries coolant from the radiator back to the engine

Coolant hoses are common replacement items on older and higher mileage BMW's. Coolant hoses go through extreme heating and cooling cycles which can cause bulging, cracking, or dry rotting. If there are any deformities on your coolant hoses we recommend immediate replacement.

When replacing your coolant hoses you will lose coolant which will need to be refilled per specification. FCP carries a variety of coolant in our engine coolant section including the good stuff sourced from BMW.

Radiator Coolant Hose

Radiator hoses have an important job to transport your engine's coolant to and from its cooling system components. Over time they can become dry, hard, brittle, or leak which warrants a replacement. When replacing we also recommend a coolant flush and replacement to remove any possible sludge formed over time.

Recommended - Radiator / heating system cleaner by Liqui Moly LM2051. Radiator cleaner reliably removes dangerous deposits and allows the engine to run at the optimum temperature and operational reliability. Use as a preventive measure when performing a radiator hose replacement or coolant flush. Ideal for older systems.
